New Paperweight Collection

 In 2025, I made a leap from a 20+ year career as  Special Agent with the Department of Defense (and formerly US Army, OIF II, Military Intelligence) to becoming a paperweight dealer. I’m pretty sure that’s not a common career path.

The tragic loss of my mother, Robin, in early 2025 shook me deeply. It made me reconsider my professional life—a career that, while stable and secure, didn’t bring the fulfillment I’d hoped for after two decades of hard work.

At a crossroads, I traveled to Scotland with my youngest son and some of my mother’s ashes to have glass memorials created. That journey led me to meet William Manson and Peter Holmes—two artists who welcomed my endless questions, no matter how niche. 

During my visit to Holmes Glass, Peter and his son Andy surprised me by asking if I’d become their exclusive US dealer. I’d never been a dealer, run a business, or managed a website, but after some thought, I said yes. I believed I could help bring Holmes Glass back to US collectors for the first time in twenty years.

  At The Online Paperweight Shop, I’m passionate about reigniting the excitement of paperweight collecting and transforming how these works of art reach collectors. I believe collecting should be accessible to younger generations, fair for artists, and trustworthy for everyone.Together, we’re building something truly different:
